NEWS Flash - Air Seychelles Annouces New Website Created By Rasin Team - No Plans to Replace Foreigners in the Engineering Dept. With Rasin

EDITORIAL INTRODUCTORY COMMENT
Air Seychelles proudly announced that its new interactive website was developed by "an all-Seychellois team". LAVWA comends Air Seychelles for using an all-Seychellois team, if the team used are Seselwa Rasin and not window dressing Fabrike.

However, LAVWA Seychelles condemns Air Seychelles for its failure to announce plans to replace the extensive number of foreigners in the Engineering Department who have displaced Seselwa Rasin from these high paying jobs.

After decades in service, Air Seychelles has still not devised a systematic and comprehensive training plan to train Seselwa Rasin to replace foreigners who work in many departments of the heavily subsidized airline. This is an abomination, and a violation of the founding principle of our homeland of Sesel Pou Seselwa which must be immediately redressed.

AIR SEYCHELLES PRESS RELEASE

Air Seychelles is proud to announce that its new website www.airseychelles.com is now live in both English and French. It has appeared with a host of functionalities and new capabilities that will greatly benefit not only consumers in search of up-to-date information about the airline, its routes, schedules and services, but also Air Seychelles itself in the way that it is now able to interact with its customers.

Developed by the all-Seychellois team at Switch, a Seychelles-based web development company that is part of the VCS Group, this world-class website was developed thanks to the close working relationship between HM and Switch.

Key functionalities of the new site include an Online Booking Engine that will greatly facilitate the booking process for HM customers as well as an International and Domestic Flight Search capability that will allow the HM clientèle to have access to the latest flight information.

There will also be a Frequent Flyer Plus sign-up option as well as one where users can log in to view their account details in a move that sees the formerly separate FFP website integrated into the new HM website to ensure ease of management and branding consistency.

The What’s New section allows HM to keep its stakeholders updated on new marketing developments and promotional initiatives with additional functions for News, Special Announcements and Sponsorships.

The Download capability allows users to download the in-flight menu and available duty free items whilst the Career Opportunities section will keep job-hunters abreast of employment openings within the airline.

The new website provides an excellent platform for the accurate and consistent brand representation of the airline and also provides detailed corporate information about HM’s history, offices and fleet.

Future plans involve increased visibility for the airline in social media marketing tools such as Facebook as well as the development of new functionalities designed to further widen the scope of the website and its ability to both inform and interact with its client base. German and Italian versions of the website will be appearing soon.
