Talking Points - Foreign Commissioner of Tax & Revenue Resigns - Shows Power of Seselwa Rasin

By: Leonard Francis Gill

Rene Nusse the Austalian Commissioner of Tax & Revenue has resigned. This resignation has come after much protest by The Mouvman, and, in particular, Christopher Gill, who objected to Mr. Nusse placing his photograph as the central figure on the Tax & Revenue website. It has been The Mouvman's position that a foreigner's photo in such a prominent location on the Tax & Revenue website, undermined the national sovereignty and dignity of the Rasin homeland.

The Mouvman also objected to a foreign Commissioner, since there are many qualified Seselwa Rasin, here and abroad, who can and are willing to do the job, if adequately compensated.

The key point which Nusse's resignation makes is that we Seselwa Rasin are not powerless to affect the direction of our country. We can, wherever we see foreigners and Fabrike controlling our country and destiny, resist them. We need not make a big or public scene of our resistance either. We can actively but non-violently and subliminally resist their encroachment into our motherland. We can refuse to cooperate with them in small but significant ways that when accumulated amounts to significant resistance.

We can withhold our cooperation in any small way we can, even by refusing to greet them or give them a cup of coffee, or refuse to show up for appointments, or by pointing out their lack of moral authority over us us since they are foreigners or Fabrike, and do so at every opportunity we can. As to the Fabrike who have supported Ramadoss in taking over the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we can avoid and boycott their businesses as much as possible. Hurt their economic interested in any way you can, in whatever small way you can - the cumulative effect of our collective Rasin effort will be substantial. Make it impossible for them to continue to stay in our country and to aid the PP Collaborators to keep power and sell out our motherland from right under our noses.

What is clear is that if we refuse to allow the PP Collaborators and their Fabrike and foreign friends to rule us, they simply cannot do so. This is our power fellow Seselwa Rasin - our consent to be governed, or our refusal to be subjugated; for the time being we will find small but important ways to resist and thereby to overcome.

  1. This is what you call pluralism in government. We will expose all the underhand dealings of this SPPF/PP government of James Misel.
They cannot muzzle the people anymore. Nor can they "bat latet" as they have been doing with impunity for the last 34 odd years.
"Ban letan diktater in fini Misel" get this straight in your hollow brain.
Your self proclaimed titles of Man of this, man of that is simply backfiring in your face.
You thought that your stage managed, heavily mediatised theatrical rounds in the districts was the grand lesson in democracy!!

Well the poor folks that your party machine managed to drag out of their households were the docile chickens that you are accustomed to throw a bit of 'pelet & mais' at!

Now you are trying all the trick in the book to try more smokescreens. JJ Spirit foundation to numb the youth, Mouvman Veteran to annihilate the elderly, Women's league to denigrate our mothers and sisters, Equator Institute to brainwash...the list of failures goes on & on & on...

Now that you are faced with the real voices that will not let you rule with impunity, change is coming about fast!! There will be more of your foreign contingent of yes men that will go and you will have no choice but to and respect the Seselwa people... and own up to your circus!

    Mr. President of all foreigners!!!!
